My Story


Weddings and events have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Even at nine years old on a family vacation to San Diego I started planning the details of my wedding should it be at the hotel where we were staying. In fact, over the years I did that so much everywhere we went that when my husband proposed to me I was in the middle of telling him the logistics of how I would set up a wedding in that spot. I thought he was making fun of me by getting down on one knee. Once I realized he was serious, I quickly said YES through all the laughter and happy tears.


Now, after being in the wedding and event industry for over eleven years, I can honestly say that I still have that same passion and excitement for events that I did as a young girl. Prior to starting my own company Heartfelt Weddings & Events over seven years ago, I was the Private Events Director at a country club in addition to Tradeshow and Event Manager for large retail companies. Working the venue side as well as the corporate side of the industry gave me the skills needed to be thorough and knowledgeable while planning details on behalf of my clients.


Being a part of such a memorable occasion assisting in organizing the details for celebrations that revolve around love truly makes my heart happy! My hope is that my love of planning for life’s great moments will help your dream moments come to life.

Why weddings?


Romance. Magic. Joy. Your wedding day will not only be a special day circled on your calendar and celebrated for years to come but will also be a day that signifies the joining of two lives into one future, the hopes and dreams of two hearts united in strength by promises to love and honor and cherish, for always. Being asked to help build this day for couples, from the smallest details to the grandest ideas, is not only an honor but also a career I felt destined to be a part of from an early age.


I have always loved a celebration. From birthdays as a child to high school graduation parties and every special moment in between, there has always been something about people joining together to celebrate the best in life that I've always been drawn to. When I chose to attend East Carolina University and graduated with my B.A. in Hospitality Management, it was entirely predictable I would select Special Events and Conventions as my concentration. While pursuing the broad slate of classes in this area at college, I applied for and was selected to spend a summer as an intern in the Biltmore Estate, helping to plan and execute weddings there. Those months and the hard but rewarding work they entailed helped cement in the heart of this North Carolina girl the love for and dedication to the art of helping couples have their perfect day.


Making the move to the West Coast and to the state of California that I now call home has only helped to build that desire, as my time in this industry continues to grow. My enthusiasm and passion work together with my eye for detail and comprehensive, creative nature to ensure that my clients have their ideas brought to life exactly as they wish. In a lifetime of memories, your wedding day will be one of the most unforgettable.
